Damian was sick with a stomach bug for a few days this week. He remained cheerful despite his obvious discomfort. My poor baby. He also celebrated his first Easter. I keep finding myself starting at Damo in awe of how big he’s getting. His little mind is always ticking and I can see it in his eyes. He is discovering so much of the world around him. Some of his favorite things to do right now are stack blocks, throw balls and chase them…

Damian is starting to show signs of understanding more and more words and commands. He knows how to “brush his hair” and “talk on the phone.” He’s waving hello and goodbye and pointing to all sorts of things you tell him to. It’s amazing how fast he has been changing.

Dear Damian, I’m so excited that you’re eleven months! There are so many things you can do now. My favorite is that you finally stopped eating sand at the beach (for the most part). Damian continues to impress me with his walking skills. He’s a pro now. He’s also getting better at identifying people and objects by name. He doesn’t say them (except mama, dada, Eva), but he will point to them when I ask. Pretty neat!
