Photography was my passion... and it could pay the bills! In 2018 I took the leap of faith, left my stable job at the law firm and became a full time photographer... and I don't take my job lightly! I feel so honored to help individuals, couples, and families document every age and stage in the greatest journey... LIFE!
Now, with my husband and four kids, I "follow the waves" from South Padre Island to Kauai to Mexico, sharing my time between three of my favorite places on earth. I'm normally pretty introverted, but I love making friends with people along the way, especially while taking photos! I always feel like there is a reason for every person that I meet, like the universe brings us together even for just a small moment in time.
Then, my camera turned to people. I began using my camera to document my experiences as a new mama. I started a blog to share my photos and words with the world. I moved from Oahu to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and spent a lot of time traveling and seeing all kinds of places. During this time, I studied how to use my camera and take better photos. When I came back to Texas, people started asking me to take their pictures. At first, I was hesitant. I had a full time job as an attorney and life as a mom was hectic enough.
I’m an adventurous photographer from South Padre Island, a little island off the tip of Texas and border of Mexico. I began my journey in photography when I was about 7 years old with a Barbie camera and some Lisa Frank scrapbook. When digital cameras first came out, I was in high-school and I always had a Elph in my pocket. I bought my first high-grade camera when I was too pregnant to surf in Oahu 11 years ago. I would sit on North Shore snapping surf pics, dreaming of waves and my new baby.
